Red Springs - With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Steffani Hughes, who passed away on July 13, 2026, at the age of 40.

Born on June 1, 1986, Steffani had a special love for the beauty and wonder found in nature, especially crystals, gems, rocks, and stones. She found joy in their unique beauty and treasured the special meaning each one held.

Steffani leaves behind those who loved her deeply, including her mother, Kelly Davidson; the father who raised her, Mark Davidson; her biological father, Joe Riggs; her beloved son, Mikey; her boyfriend, Frank; her siblings, Steven, Sandra, Samantha, and Jessica; grandparents, Pawpaw Earl and Nanny Gail; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gigi Lee and Grandma Martha.  

Steffani’s life ended far too soon, but the love she gave and the memories she created will remain forever with those who knew and loved her. Just as the crystals and stones she treasured were each unique and beautiful, so was Steffani. Her memory will continue to shine in the hearts of her family and friends.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
