Scott Estrich

Wilmington -Scott Lawrence Estrich, 69, of Wilmington, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026. Born on January 19, 1957, in Queens, New York, Scott carried his New York spirit with him wherever life took him — equal parts grit, humor, heart, and unmistakable personality. He later made his home in Wilmington, North Carolina, where he passed surrounded by love.

Scott was a devoted husband to Pamela Estrich and a proud, loving father to his daughter, Nicole Estrich. His love for his family was never subtle — he wore his heart on his sleeve and made sure the people he loved knew it, often loudly and enthusiastically.

An electrical engineer by trade, Scott was brilliant with electronics and could solve just about any problem put in front of him.  Scott lived life with flavor and flair. He loved fine dining, good cigars, sunny beach days, and the thrill of rollercoasters. He was silly, eccentric, and loved to tease. He had a mischievous sense of humor and found joy in making others laugh. He also had a deep love for his pets — especially his cats and birds. They weren’t just animals to him; they were part of the family, and he found comfort and companionship in their presence.

He formed deep and lasting friendships throughout his life, maintaining connections that spanned decades. Scott’s presence was big, his laughter contagious, and his love unwavering. 

He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, intelligence, humor, and devotion that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and undoubtedly still teasing us — just from a different place.
