Oliver Arrington Wallace, III

Wilmington - Oliver Arrington Wallace III (Sandy) was born on July 11, 1949, in Charlotte, North Carolina, and passed away on June 22, 2026, in Wilmington, North Carolina, at the Lower Cape Fear Life Care Facility.

He was preceded in death by his father, Oliver Arrington Wallace Jr.; his mother, Margaret Hunt Wallace; and his sister, Diane Wallace Gregor.

Sandy is survived by his wife, Helen Doemland; his daughter, Wendy Wallace and her husband Tom Grimes; his son, Matthew Doemland; his brother Charles Wallace and his wife, Myra; and his brother Joe Wallace and his partner, Carol Conrad.

The memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church (located at 3rd and Orange Street) in Wilmington, North Carolina, on July 12, 2026, at 1 p.m. A reception will follow the service at the church.
