Larry M. Calame

Wilmington-  Lawrence "Larry" M. Calame, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026 at his home in New Hanover County, surrounded by family. Born on June 27, 1957, in Broome County, New York, Larry lived a life marked by dedication and love for his family and his work.

Larry leaves behind a legacy of strength and resilience. He was a devoted Ship's Captain, navigating the seas with skill and determination. His career was a testament to his unwavering commitment and passion for his work.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Calame and Jane Van Santen. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Maria Calame, and his cherished daughter, Pippen Calame, who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

Though no services are currently scheduled, those who knew and loved Larry are encouraged to remember him in their own special ways.
