Great Gramma, Gramma, Mom, Wife, Aunt, Sister, Cousin, Daughter and FRIEND…
All of those words describe Anita and she poured her whole heart into each and every one of these roles throughout her ~ (her lifetime). There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for anyone she came across if it was in her power. Although she will be missed dearly by those of us left behind, we find comfort in knowing she is reunited in Heaven with her Mommy & Daddy as well as all her loved ones that have gone before her.
Anita was born on December 16th, 1946 to Joe Bill and Marguerite Wolfe Rockwell in Portsmouth, OH and grew up in Lucasville, OH. She passed away after a long illness on December 26th, 2025 close to her children in North Carolina.
Anita was proceeded in death by her parents and two of her brothers, Terry & Jerry Rockwell.
She leaves to cherish her memories her brother, Kenny (Kathy) Rockwell, her son Robert Tallhamer, her daughter Cindy (Joe) Farrell, her grandchildren Savanna (Alex) Sandoval, Shawn Michael Farrell, Alexander & Abbigail Tallhamer and 5 great-grandchildren, Raylan, Hadley & Vann Sandoval, Maverik Farrell, and Layla Davis (Abbi’s baby) AND her best friend, Aunt Donna Roberts along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Some of her fondest memories are of traveling with her Uncle Junior, Aunt Donna and their children (Sandy Morris, Mona Gardner, Susie Tillman and Michael Roberts). She loved playing games, cards, crafting, sewing, cooking, the beach and flowers! Just like her late brother, Terry, she was very strong willed, stubborn and some may say a “little” bossy. Anita was lovingly known by her brother Kenny as “Skeeter” ~ he’s a funny guy. She will truly be missed by a lot of people.
Mom, you can finally rest and just enjoy the beauty of Heaven! We LOVE you!
